Walk-a-Thon 2007

The APDA Greater Los Angeles Chapter will be hosting it annual Walk-A-Thon on Saturday, April 28th in Palisades Park in Santa Monica - the site of Walk-A-Thons in year's past. Registration begins at 9am; the walk and program begins at 10am and concludes at noon. This is the chapter's largest fundraiser of the year and one for which all the proceeds go toward Parkinson's disease research. Our goal is to raise $50,000,

Registry Stakeholders gather in Oakland

The California PD Registry took a big step forward with a gathering of stakeholders in February. The goal of the meeting was to gather researchers, scientists PD activists and government officials to explain the mission of the registry and to urge the State Department of Health Services to deputize the Parkinson Institute to move forward with a pilot project in one or two counties.

We need your help. If you have Parkinson's, or know somebody who does, or if you want to do good work with good people get involved. The Los Angeles Chapter of the American Parkinson Disease Association meets the second Thursday of the month at the Village Church, 343 Church Lane near Westwood Village.
