The Los Angeles Chapter of the American Parkinson Disease Association is an activist organization engaged in fundraising for research and providing information on the disease to persons with PD and their families. The Chapter advocates before government agencies to ensure that there is a commitment to finding a cure and new treatment for those afflicted with the disease.
The chapter actively campaigned for Proposition 71, the stem cell initiative. We also sponsored and passed legislation to create a statewide Parkinson’s Registry.
